Stuffed Long Marrows – Qarabagħli twil mimli


1kg long marrows

600g minced meat.  You can use either pork or beef or veal or a mixture of all three.

1kg potatoes

1kg onions

50g grated cheese

25g tomato paste

clove of garlic

chopped parsley

salt and freshly ground pepper

olive oil


  1. Peel and cut the marrows into pieces about 10cm long.
  2. Scoop out the insides.
  3. Continue cooking following the same method as Stuffed Marrows with Meat.
  4. Marrows can also be used for this recipe.
